Are you the technical manager we are looking for to run our electrolysis business? Do you ensure the reliability and availability of all electrolyser equipment and infrastructure ? Do have good understanding of the (process) technical aspects of the production of chemicals on a BSc/MSc level?  Then we are looking for you!

Your challenge

Nobian’s chlorine production facility in Rotterdam is amongst the biggest in Europe. The electrolysers at the Cell Room are the heart of our production process. This plant area is mainly determining production output and most maintenance spend is made here. The Area Lead Electrolysis is responsible for overall HSE performance on Cell Room and ensures that HSE rules are followed by Cell Room technicians, supervisors and contractors.

Your responsibilities

  • You secure asset integrity, reliability and availability, a.o. by timely execution of preventive inspection/maintenance plans and corrective maintenance.
  • You manage maintenance activities in a safe and cost-effective manner.
  • You are responsible for the budget planning and cost control for all cell room activities, both OPEX and CAPEX. You ensure best practice skills and capability development for all Cell Room staff and you drive continuous improvement.
  • You ensure personnel of asset execution is aware of safe working practices and promoting safety programs and behaviors.
  • You drive adequate leadership to ensure an open constructive (safety) dialogue with Maintenance execution and strict compliance and adherence to the Life Saving Rules.

  • A permanent contract with a 2 months’ probation period
  • Salary including holiday allowance: EUR 65.000 –  EUR 98.000

Have you got what it takes?

  • Good understanding of the (process) technical aspects of the production of chemicals on a BSc/MSc educational level in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • >4 years (MSc) or >10 years (Higher vacational/BSc) experience in manufacturing/chemical industry.
  • Proven skills to lead a team of (higher) technical educated professionals
  • Good proficiency of Dutch and English language 
  • Proven project and/or change management experience
