Caustic soda products

Essential behind many daily activities

Caustic soda is an essential chemical used in drinking water purification, wastewater treatment, personal care products, pulp and paper, cardboard, construction materials and many other applications.

Caustic soda lye

One of the most widely used chemicals in the industry

Caustic soda, essential to the alumina, pulp and paper, and chemical industries, is a solution of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) in water. It plays an important role in water treatment, drinking water purification, detergents, pharmaceuticals and food processing. We produce caustic soda together with chlorine and hydrogen from the electrolysis of salt brine. With four production sites, we are one of the largest producers of caustic soda in Europe and can guarantee our customers a high level of service and security of supply.

Caustic soda microprills

The highest quality caustic soda prills on the market, solid with excellent free-flowing properties

Caustic soda microprills consist of solid fused caustic soda pearls. Our manufacturing process ensures a consistent diameter (<1 mm) which guarantees fast and easy dissolution in common solvents (water, ethanol, methanol). This is important in manufacturing processes and/or (cleaning) formulations, where good mixing properties are required.

ISCC PLUS caustic soda microprills are manufactured using renewable energy in the manufacturing process (brine electrolysis) and have a significantly lower carbon footprint than their fossil fuel based counterparts. This solution provides customers with an environmentally friendly alternative without having to compromising on quality, as the chemical properties of our ISCC PLUS Caustic soda are identical to the fossil-fuel-based material.
