It’s fascinating, all these different types of technology. I don’t get bored easily here.” Demi works in a team of eight, but tasks can be managed with six, providing flexibility during malfunctions or leave. She undergoes on-site training and can take exams on the spot.

Continuous improvement and innovation

A typical day for Demi involves inspecting external functions, such as pumps, and performing last-minute risk analyses (LMRA) to ensure a safe work environment. She collaborates closely with her colleague in the control room to solve problems quickly and efficiently by looking beyond the surface.

Demi values the variety and technical challenges in her work, as well as the continuous improvement and innovation. She has been working in the brine purification department for a year and plans to obtain her certification for the energy department. She finds working with technology intriguing and appreciates the tools that make the job less strenuous. Despite having only male colleagues, she feels comfortable and enjoys the collaboration.

Teamwork

Demi loves the variety and the opportunity to keep learning while working. She enjoys the freedom and ownership that come with working in shifts and appreciates the collegial atmosphere. She adds: “Everyone is very motivated to solve everything as quickly and well as possible.”
