Procurement Category Manager IT

Your challange

As Category Manager IT at Nobian you will drive and support procurement strategy, excellence and spend-down for your category IT in close cooperation with your Procurement colleagues, IT, other Corporate Functions and other stakeholders. Your mission in this position is to manage and support procurement for IT Software, Services and other IT domains across our Corporate Functions, considering their requirements as well as Procurement policies and guidelines. Other tasks consist of:

Your responsibilites

Design and implement the overall category strategy, source suppliers for IT Software, Services and other IT domains (e.g. hardware, telecom & networks) while optimizing contractual terms, commercial terms, and total cost of ownership
Next to the IT ctegory, you will pick up some other Functional Spend categories (10-20% of your time) as well, depending on your preference and expertise
Main point of contact for suppliers regarding contractual and commercial topics. As part of performance and escalation management, you will also take ownership of issues with internal stakeholders and suppliers
At all times you will maintain a proactive approach to learning and gathering relevant market intelligence, in order to keep up with the best sourcing opportunities, benchmarking, and market developments

Have you got what it takes?

Do you consider yourself as a high level of autonomy candidate who is able to manage the companies demand structure? Do you have good knowledge of IT Software, Services and other IT domains? Further to this you recognize yourself in the following points:

Bachelor or master’s degree in a business or technology related area
4+ years’ relevant IT experience within procurement and a similar environment
Able to deploy solid negotiation and problem-solving skills while working and executing with a high level of autonomy
Good presentation skills, strong relationship builder, and skilled at managing internal and external stakeholders
Fluent in Dutch and English, German language is an additional asset
