Nobian has replaced two brine preheaters at its Delfzijl plant. These preheaters have a significant impact on steam consumption in the salt production process. They were commissioned in the first half of 2023 and have been in operation since, resulting in savings of about 35,000 tons of steam per year. This translates to an annual saving of more than 5 kton of CO₂.
